Brian Wurzell is an architect of vision, with a passion to see the local church progress as a conduit of cultural connection, justice, creativity, art, truth and innovation.
Brian has served for the past seven years as the Worship Arts Director at Cornerstone Christian Church in Chandler Arizona, a progressive church community that stands out as a bright light in the Phoenix Valley. He currently leads a team of three full-time Worship leaders and an internship program that gives young leaders the chance to experience Worship Arts ministry first hand. With unconventional music and programming, and with a progressive approach to local and global outreach, Brian has helped Cornerstone become one of the most effective and forward moving churches in the Southwestern United States.
Additionally, Brian has a touring band called Brayline; a worship-fueled band that is an extension of the ministry that is happening at Cornerstone. Brayline travels and plays around the United States serving conferences, camps, seminars and churches nationally. He has also served for three years as the summer worship leader at Forest Home Ministries and Thousand Pines Christian Camps in Southern California. In addition to serving through playing music, Brian has also worked as the Music Manager for Jedidiah Clothing Company in San Diego. His extensive touring schedule, and experience at Jedidiah has connected him to countless churches, bands, and ministry leaders throughout the years, giving him a wide-reaching network to tap into.
Through his involvement in local and para-church ministry, and through researching, mentoring and touring, Brian has managed to stay extremely engaged with the movement of the church – both where it is and where it’s heading. More than anything, he has a deep-rooted desire to see the Kingdom of God come through the mission and ministry of the local church.
