Greg Allen is a leader with a passion and a heart for the local church. He has served Southeast Christian Church for 25 years, is currently on the Senior Leadership Team [the Vision Team] overseeing the Worship, Communication and Media Ministries at Southeast and continues to serve as one of Southeast’s worship leaders. He also produces Southeast Christian Church’s “Easter Passion,” a theatrical production of the life of Christ that reaches 70,000 annually.
Greg truly understands the struggles of the modern church, especially with regards to the challenge faced when changing worship styles. He was able to lead Southeast through their transition from a traditional worship style to a blended and more contemporary style of worship without major turmoil in the church!.
His extensive experience on the national and local worship scene reflects his desire to help the church and their worship leaders reach the unchurched. For the last 10 years, he’s been a host on the Worship Network (part of PAX-TV) and is currently working with the Worship Network to create worship resources “from the church to the church.” He also teaches a graduate course in worship at Hope International University in Southern California and developed “Biblical Foundations of Worship” – a curriculum that is adaptable for college or church settings.
Whether leading retreats,, leading worship, teaching or creating worship resources, Greg finds joy in presenting the story of Jesus so that people might find their place in His story.
